The benefits of coaching can be substantial and specific to an individual, organisation or team;

Help you achieve goals – We can help you define career and personal goals in a realistic way. When you dedicate time to mapping your needs and wants, particularly with the guidance of a supportive coach, you can see beyond the clutter and gain a clear perspective of where you are and where you’d like to go.

Build personal awareness – We can help you find ways to improve yourself and become aware of blind spots. These blind spots can be areas of work, personality, relationships or health and wellness. Once you are aware of these areas, we will work with you to improve them.

Increased level of engagement – We engage with you to provide specific and unique feedback with lots of encouragement. When you become engaged with your life or workplace, you can contribute more effectively to your family, relationships, team or organisation. This helps to increase retention rates, productivity benefiting your home life, health, career as well as the organisation.

Deeper level of learning – Coaching isn’t just about improving an individual’s skills in the workplace, in relationships or taking control of your health and wellness – it takes learning to an even deeper level. We can help you learn more about yourself, find out how you are perceived by others and improve on areas of your life you are not completely satisfied with.

Help you become more accountable – This is one of the biggest areas we can help you with. All of a sudden you become accountable to follow through on whatever you’re procrastinating on or stopping yourself from doing. We will safely push you beyond your limits and what you thought possible and then see the breakthroughs happen.

Save you time to get you faster results – Time is the most scarce resource we have.  You can always make more money, but you can’t get more time.  Yet, when we attempt to do things on our own, we’re taking the long route and wasting that time.  This is simply because we don’t know the path ahead and what to expect. We can help with that.

Clarity with your calling/destiny – We empower you to visualise and create your own dreams, answers and plans to achieve them. Once you identify how you derive meaning in your life, you can focus on the direction of your calling. This all about identity and what you were created to do. Your destiny is knocking on the door and we can help you unlock and open it.

Team building and developing a strong cohesive team culture is our forte and what we do best. Here are seven basic foundations to creating a dynamic team.

Give praise and recognition publicly for ‘esprit de corps’, the common spirit existing in the members of a team and inspiring enthusiasm, devotion, and strong regard for the honour of the team rather than rewards to highest performers.

Assign serious team goals for really important assignments and projects, not just planning for next summer’s annual company picnic. Ask them to challenge the status quo and the conventional wisdom. This will help to keep your company fresh and ahead of the game.

Encourage informal teams due to the fact more work in organisations is accomplished through informal teams than formal ones. When your employees are able to tackle concerns themselves, without elevating every little decision to top management, you’ll have a much more efficient organisation.

Cross-train employees to understand how different areas of the company work, they are more apt to make decisions that benefit the company as a whole, rather than solely their own department or group.  Some organizations go as far as switching employee roles on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. Have the managers spend a few days working on the front lines with customers or directly with your product.

Facilitate better communication activities that create discussion to enable open communication among employees, and between employees and management. This can improve office relationships and in turn, the quality of work done.

Motivates employees – Team leadership and team building go hand in hand. The more comfortable your employees are to express their ideas and opinions, the more confident they will become. This will motivate them to take on new challenges.

Promote creativity – Taking a team outside of an office setting and exposing them to new experiences will force them to think outside of their normal routine. Working together with other team members can ignite creativity and fresh ideas, which are great qualities to bring back to the office.

“Clients do not come first. Employees come first. If you take care of your employees, they will take care of the clients.”

Richard Branson – Founder of the Virgin Empire

Motivational Speaking and Smashing ‘The Fear’

The one secret that every event organizer knows – a good keynote speaker can make or break your event. Your opening keynote sets the tone at the beginning from which the entire event will unfold. The closing keynote keeps people engaged in your event until the very end.

After a gruelling and intensive five-day physical and mental military selection board in 2002, Alan was told he had not made the cut to become a Physical Training Instructor in the Royal New Zealand Air Force. The RNZAF recruiting officers said he lacked confidence. Alan severely lacked public speaking skills and was so nervous he couldn’t even say his full name correctly in front of the other potentials. This was a turning point in Alan’s life. Today, he has spoken at hundreds of events, workshops, presentations, ceremonies, charity auctions, motivational keynotes and worked for three years as a local TV presenter and journalist.

What happened?  Learn the tricks of the trade by someone who has been there and conquered that mountain.

Success Stories

Alan was bought in to our sales conference to offer us a fresh perspective on the sales process. We were keen to give Alan just a small taste of the business and sales background and then let him take the session in whatever direction he felt would benefit us most. With his take on the importance of relationships, trust and sincerity, then some personality profiling of buyers and sellers, it gave the team plenty to consider and most importantly extra tools to try in the field. Alan bought a very worthwhile element to our conferences.
Martin B

National sales manager, ILS Ltd

Alan has been involved supporting us with programmes for both student and teacher leadership. Alan has provided a rich variety of programmes to cater to the needs of both of the above groups. Alan supports local Rotorua youth and to that end he always has his own leaders to help run his programmes for our school. His programmes are well planned and well thought through but he is also flexible if changes need to be made.
Phil P, QSM

I would highly recommend accessing Alan’s skills in the area of leadership training, personal goal setting, and helping to raise youth confidence in their own abilities to overcome adversity and seek out opportunities.
Todd M

Insurance Broker

I recently had the pleasure of working with Alan, where he led me through a quick exercise that really helped me to visualise where I want to go in the future, and how it would feel to operate in that space. His calm and paitent approach, along with gentle probing questions, really helped me to see and articulate what that future looked like and his gently coaxing encouraged me to challenge and remove blockages that have been holding me back. In a very short space of time we achieved a transformational change and I am so excited to move forward.
Rosie C

Civil servant

It was a pleasure to meet Alan recently in his capacity as a Life Coach where he helped me get some clarity and find some answers on what I am doing moving forward in my life.
I found Alan to be friendly, confident and enthusiastic in his approach. His open manner, his intuitive questioning and a sense of presence and calm helped me relax into the session. By feeling relaxed and comfortable in that space, I was able to open up and be honest with him and therefore honest with myself. I really valued this session as it helped me think about certain things and in doing this, I was led to understand what it is I needed to help me on my journey going forward.
Alan is a great coach as he really listened and observed. He is respectful and very intuitive and I would highly recommend him.
Annie T

I have found Alan to be a very enterprising and innovative coach and he comes from a position of experience. Like all busy people, he has plenty of challenges and opportunities and can draw on those to give effective feedback and coach empathetically. Alan has an easygoing manner, great listening skills and I would recommend him to anyone seeking a life coach.
Chris K

Business owner

If you are in a position where you have the ideas but need someone to help you focus and pinpoint how to turn the ideas into actions, then I highly recommend Alan. He really helped me visualize my goals and provided me with practical feedback for my ideas. This really motivated me to start my action plan in order to achieve everything.
Jasmine G

Business start up entrepreneur

My session with Alan helped me identify my purpose, what drives me and gain a better understanding of the way I function. The tools used during my session helped find this passion and the barriers preventing me from moving forward. Realising that I wanted to be a role model to my family and younger generations better helped me understand my purpose; to be a leader and business owner.
